Doggin' It

This last week, although we don't have a dog anymore, we had two dogs at our house. Katie and Aaron's dog Wesson and Nanette and Chris' new dog Max were here at the same time. Being males, they haven't become best friends yet, but hopefully after Max recovers from the vet tomorrow they'll be friendlier. They are sure friendly with their owners though.

I keep track of a few people (some strangers) via "Carepages", a website set up through hospitals for families to keep others updated on their loved ones health. You can search for others who have the same disease as yourself or own loved one and that's how I came in contact with a few of these "strangers" that have become friends. One woman's father has prostate cancer like my Dad had and lately she has mentioned a family whose 25 year old son is dying. I looked up his Carepage and his mother commented that we need to all act more like dogs. When family and friends come in our door we need to do more wagging and less barking. We need to let others know by our actions how much we love and appreciate them. Saying I love you isn't enough. We never know when tragedy will strike. So I'm committing to do more wagging and less barking!
